On September 23 last 247TailorSteel, the leading "smart" manufacturerfor customized metal sheets, tubes and edge parts, officially started construction of the new production facility in Langenau, between Stuttgart and Munich. "With the construction of our new facility in Langenau, we are strengthening our position in the market and bringing more opportunities to our customers in southern Germany and Austria," said Carl Berlo, CEO of the company.
Among those present on the day were the Consul General in Germany, Mr. Paul IJmkers, Mayor of Langenau, Mr. Daniel Salemi and the CEO of 247TailorSteel Carl Berlo present. During the official program, the shovel was actually put into the ground, thus giving the official starting signal for the construction of the new facility.
The new facility is expected to be fully operational in the fall of 2022. On a production area of 15,000 m2 twelve laser cutting machines, ten tube lasers and twelve press brakes will be installed in phases. With these, the customers of 247TailorSteel in southern Germany and Austria benefit from even better service and even faster delivery. '247TailorSteel uses a full in-house machine park. Thanks to our self-developed Sophia® portal, customers can place orders online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, receive quotations within one minute and get their products delivered within 48 hours," said Berlo.
247TailorSteel has been the leading pioneer in the market since it was founded in 2007 and now has a large loyal customer base. The ambition behind this expansion is to increase market share and production capacity for customers in southern Germany and Austria and to achieve the goal of serving customers within a radius of 200 kilometers. The new production facility in Langenau is another great milestone and major step in this direction.
The construction of the plant will initially create 70 new workplaces; in the long term, it will accommodate about 200 employees. "With the new production facility, a future-oriented industrial site will be created here. 247TailorSteel will thus add value to Langenau and the region," said Langenau Mayor Daniel Salemi.
