Come discover which technology increases your competitiveness

Want to learn more about the latest developments in manufacturing technology? Then don't miss the EMO Hannover from September 18 to 23. An ideal time, because the European manufacturing industry faces multiple challenges if it wants to safeguard its international competitiveness. But as in soccer "every disadvantage has its advantage," every challenge also brings opportunities. Because those who know how to digitize and automate intelligently can make huge leaps in productivity. So come to EMO Hannover to discover how your company can put on those seven-mile boots.

As always, EMO Hannover is the setting of choice for those who want to learn about tomorrow's technology. The fair, which is the world's largest in manufacturing technology, brings together practical examples from industry with groundbreaking research, demonstrating the most efficient way to combine technology. This year that happens from Sept. 18 to 23. But the EMO is also doing innovation itself. Two years ago, fair organizer VDW brought together various exhibitors and other stakeholders to debate how the fair can remain relevant in the years to come. It resulted in the new slogan "Innovate manufacturing. "With this we are responding to the challenges we face as an industry," explained Carl Martin Welcker, general commissioner of EMO Hannover 2023.

Keep innovating, 365 days long

'Innovate manufacturing' is an invitation to everyone involved in the EMO to continually reinvent themselves, improve and broaden their offerings, streamline processes and tap into new markets. At the same time, with this slogan the EMO Hannover underlines its desire to remain a platform for innovation in production technology, and not only for the duration of fair. For the rest of the year, too, EMO Hannover intends to keep its finger on the pulse and bring together the full breadth and depth of technology to renew and optimize industrial production.

"But 'Innovate manufacturing' is about more than just technology. We will cover topics relevant to manufacturing technology and its users around the world." Connectivity, sustainability and workable work are therefore the common threads on the show floor. "Topics that are also linked to each other, mutually reinforcing and best solved together to leverage full efficiency," Welcker adds.

Thematic stands around four themes

In addition to the numerous novelties exhibitors will present, the joint booths are also well worth a visit at EMO Hannover 2023. There are four in total, each highlighting a different topic: additive manufacturing, connectivity, cobot solutions for open spaces, and - how could it be otherwise - sustainability. Martin Göbel, Director of Exhibitions at organizer VDW, explains why these zones should not be missed during your trade fair visit. "Nowhere else can production specialists experience the innovations in their sector so closely. All exhibitors, from the largest multinational to the smallest start-up, can show their innovations in these thematic sections in a simple and economical way, tailored to their target group."

Showing the way to tomorrow's manufacturing industry

So plenty of reasons to book your ticket to Hanover. "The EMO has been the world's largest metalworking trade fair since 1975. But today it is so much more than that. The fair covers the entire production chain and also integrates the information technology that is so essential to arrive at the intelligent, networked factories of tomorrow. From now on, these digital twins will always be present at EMO Hannover," concludes Welcker.
