The share of five-axle machines in new machine purchases is quietly moving toward 50%. This should come as no surprise. As soon as you need to clamp a part more than once, these powerhouses are already offering benefits for increased efficiency and accuracy. Mazak, meanwhile, has a wide range of five-axis machines, so that whether it's an introduction to five-axis simultaneous machining or not, any company can find a machine tailored to its needs. The CV5-500 has been labeled an entry-level model. It owes this mainly to its competitive price, because under its "bodywork" lies the same quality you are accustomed to from Mazak. Portal frame for maximum stability and rigidity, doubly supported table, temperature sensors for perfect control of precision, cooling of the direct-drive spindle...: the list of features that contribute to its performance goes on. As befits any five-axle machine, Mazak has also provided every possibility for automation. For example, loading can be done through the side door.

Variaxis C-600

Second in line is the Variaxis C-600, a solidly built five-axis machining center that offers users maximum added value and ease of operation. This five-axis machine is already equipped with the new AI control. Programming can therefore be done in the blink of an eye. The user only has to load the STEP file, the 3D assistant in the control does the rest. This allows time savings of up to 30%. Also standard in the control: trochoidal milling. This five-axle machine from Mazak excels in versatility. Users can configure it to their liking thanks to a wide range of optional equipment and flexible automation solutions.

Variaxis i series

With the Variaxis i series, the first thing that catches the eye is the cast iron frame in portal design; this ensures high stability. In turn, the cooled ball screws and temperature sensors combined with the rigid table with "roller gear cam" that removes the reversing clearance contribute to high accuracy. Also notable is the large Y axis, the largest in its class, which together with its speed and accuracy make it a very attractive option for many metalworkers. The integrated intelligent functions guarantee easy operation and optimum efficiency.

VTC 800 series

The moveable column vertical machining centers of the VTC 800 series are designed to meet the needs of contemporary manufacturing. Performance, flexibility and accuracy are the main concerns here. The flexible configuration of the VTC-800 can machine medium to long components. The installation of an intermediate screen can optionally increase spindle efficiency even further. The series can also be equipped with side tables to enlarge the X axis.

VORTEX i-V/e-V series

Can it be one size more? Then Mazak still has the VORTEX i-V/e-V series in store. A machine that, despite its size, stands out for its very high accuracy and stability. The machine construction in combination with the double-hinged milling head and temperature compensation for something in between. Thanks to the horizontal setup, the user gets a lot of freedom around the workpiece.
