Largest booth ever with nine new machines

The future of machining. That's what Yamazaki Mazak will showcase at the upcoming edition of EMO. With 27 state-of-the-art machines, including seven world premieres and two European firsts all live in cutting action, it will be buzzing with activity at booth B52 in Hall 27. The emphasis is on productivity with 15 machines equipped with integrated automation, as well as live demonstrations of the iSMART factory and IoT solutions.

To mark its centennial, Yamazaki Mazak is leaving for EMO 2019 with plans to set up the largest booth ever (3,000 m²) and the highest number of machines and automation solutions the company has ever displayed. Under the theme "Discover more with Mazak," as many as 27 different machines (two more than at the previous edition in 2017) will be on display, along with 16 integrated automation solutions. Managing director for the European group Richard Smith said, "The theme says something about our unwavering focus on productivity and is a call for machine users to learn about the true potential of their machining processes. Never before have we been committed to bringing so many machines and so many different automation solutions to EMO."

Divided into seven zones

The 3,000 m² booth will be divided into seven separate areas, INTEGREX Multi-Tasking, hybrid machining, five-axis, vertical machining, turning and horizontal machining. All 27 machines will be on display live in cutting action during the show. In addition, Mazak will showcase its Industry 4.0 solutions there, including Mazak's iSMART factory and Smooth technology. Says Smith, "This is truly a new era of discovery for machine users. They need to think more creatively than ever before and embrace new technology and ways of working. With Mazak as a technology partner, metalworkers can enter new markets, stay competitive and become better, faster and more productive."

Attention to automation

Integrated automation solutions will receive a great deal of attention from Mazak at EMO 2019. A wide range of solutions will be on display at the booth, including PALLETECH , Multi-Pallet Pool (MPP), gantry loaders and the AWC system (Auto Work Changer). But it doesn't stop there. Mazak is also showing what cooperation with external suppliers active in automation can look like with machine loading solutions and bar feeders, among others. "In this hundredth year of our history, it is more than appropriate that we make our largest ever contribution to EMO. We have achieved an enormous amount in these hundred years. Our dedication to always improving and developing new technologies is highlighted by the longest list of advanced machines we ever brought. I look forward to meeting our machine users from all over Europe at the booth," Smith concludes.
