House show keeps finger on the pulse of machining technology

Whereas trade shows are a good opportunity to get an overview of what is moving on the market, a house show gives you the opportunity to really get to know the technology in detail. In this respect, you have always come to the right place at Promas. On October 30 and 31, the company will open the doors of its well-stocked showroom. You will be able to get to know as many as 24 machines, including the newcomers in the Promill range.

Anyone actively involved in machining had best mark October 30 and 31 in their calendar. Then the annual Promas house show is on the program in Maasbree. Between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. you can get to know the cream of the crop in machine technology. 24 state of the art machines to be precise, so you will be treated to a well-stocked showroom. We will show you around some of the sights.

More than 50,000 milling machines from Hartford already flaunt themselves on shop floors worldwide, precisely because these machines perfectly respond to the trend toward more axes and functionalities.

Promill machining centers

With such roaring names as Hedelius, Hartford and CMZ, Promas already had a very impressive portfolio. Recently a new model series was added to that: Promill. These include three-axis machines with movable column in ISO 40 or ISO 50 versions, good for a range of 2,000 x 600 mm and 4,000 x 800 mm, respectively. These machining centers are otherwise equipped with Heidenhain controls. Also on display are machining centers, three- and five-axis, in the new Promill series with Siemens controls.

Tiltenta series by Hedelius

For Hedelius, the T6 and T9 slewing head machines will be put to work in Maasbree. The Tiltenta series, as they are called in full, stands for precision and power during machining of longer workpieces. With these machines, the German manufacturer meets the trend toward more five-axis machining. They score excellently when it comes to multi-plane or simultaneous machining, thanks to their competitive price-quality ratio.

Three- and five-axis machining with Hartford

Hartford will be represented with both three- and five-axis machining centers. More than 50,000 Hartford milling machines already flaunt themselves on shop floors worldwide, precisely because these machines perfectly respond to the trend toward more axes and functionalities. For those for whom this brand name does not yet ring a bell, a visit to the Promas house show is a real must. Anyone who sees, smells or feels the machines in action will immediately know what he's got in store for him: top technology for top chippers.

Powerful and reliable lathes from CMZ

Those looking for something more to their liking in turning will not go hungry either. The lathes of the Spanish company CMZ were a well-kept secret for a long time, but due to their price-quality ratio they are breaking through more and more, also on the Belgian market. During the house show, the TD45 with Y-axis and 2,200 mm center length will be put in the spotlight. These powerful, reliable lathes lend themselves perfectly to the processing of large parts, without high production times.

Promill's offerings include three-axis machines with movable column in ISO 40 or ISO 50 versions.

Suppliers of accessories

A machine will only perform at full efficiency if the other links of the chain are also up to standard. Promas is therefore pleased to invite other suppliers to its house show, so that you are equally well informed of the most important latest developments in those areas. For this edition, Heidenhain (control, measuring tools), Sandvik (tools), Cad2M (software), Hoffmann (tools and PPE) and Bemet (software) are signing up to be present.
