Sixty years ago, Etienne De Tollenaere started a small tool shop. Full of dedication, he threw himself into selling tools. This dedication, together with a continuous service excellence, human approach and professionalism, for exponential growth over the years. This resulted in 1992 in a 2,500m2 business area in Eeklo.

Three of Etienne's children followed in their father's footsteps and have taken on the day-to-day management of the firm since 1992. Marc De Tollenaere Started the industrial metalworking machinery department. He is in charge of purchasing machines and coordinates the sales team. Martine De Tollenaere is in charge of administration, accounting, finance and human resources. The youngest of the three, Dirk De Tollenaere, built on the tool store and handles the purchase and sale of professional machinery and tools for the craftsman.

De Tollenaere currently has two branches. In 2008, in Houten in the Netherlands established a subsidiary to also serve the Dutch market for metalworking machinery. That subsidiary is currently headed by Theo Stevens.
