In automation processes and in the transportation and storage of all kinds of products, especially the most fragile and critical ones, proper packaging is crucial. Usually standard packaging suffices, but in certain cases customization is the only solution. Engels Logistics thinks along with the customer and offers a suitable solution for every packaging issue. Engels Logistics' products can be divided into two major groups. On the one hand, there are environmental solutions, such as drip trays and systems for underground or above-ground separate collection of waste. On the other hand, there is the wide range of packaging for logistics purposes, including storage and transport bins, pallets, pallet boxes, product carriers ... "We supply some 2,000 references from stock, but sometimes the application does require a customized solution," says Commercial Director Logistics Programm Pascal Swinnen. "In that case, we first listen to the customer's needs and then look to develop a suitable solution. Usually minimal adjustments to existing products suffice, but sometimes we really have to start from scratch. Before customization is produced, we go through a number of validation stages together with the customer - drawing, protoype ..."

Engels Logistics specializes in durable, long-life packaging. The firm also develops specific packaging for fragile, critical components. "For example, for elements with a surface treatment, it is often important that the products or certain areas do not come into contact with the packaging or with each other. For this, we can completely tune the interior and the production process according to the application," Swinnen indicates. "Not everything is possible, but we can still provide a suitable solution for almost all questions. Often we can use the experience we gained from completed projects for new projects."
