The TruArc Weld 1000 comes with a cobot. Once the operator has manually guided the cobot over the component, it can automatically perform the weld. Significantly more efficient than would be possible manually and also intrinsically safe. Indeed, the cobot is CE tested and approved by TÜV Austria. Soon you will be able to discover this device live in the showroom of distributor V.A.C. MACHINES.
Unlike conventional industrial robots, operators can interact with a cobot by taking it by the hand and guiding it over a stretch. A built-in sensor ensures that it responds smoothly. TRUMPF has equipped the cobot with a control unit. This allows users to store the start and end points of the weld, as well as intermediate points, which make up the welding program. The cobot's control unit also includes templates for welding programs and parameters that respond to different scenarios, such as sheet material thickness, for example. Combined with the control unit on the welding torch, this greatly simplifies programming. Users can be welding with the TruArc Weld 1000 in just a few minutes. Virtually no experience is needed to operate the system.
The TruArc Weld 1000 offers an automated alternative for many pieces that users would normally weld manually. Thanks to fast programming, producers now have an affordable way to process short production batches and even single pieces, even when the parts only require a short weld. The TruArc Weld delivers reproducible straight and even welds, prevents weld spatter and offers extremely high processing quality.
Inside the TruArc Weld 1000 is a partition that can be raised and lowered. This allows users to split the work area and choose between welding a large workpiece (one station) or several smaller ones (two stations). When working with one station, the cobot can weld pieces up to 2,000 x 600 x 600 mm. Other ratios of length and width are possible depending on the dimensions of the piece. When working with two stations, the TruArc Weld 1,000 can handle pieces up to 600 x 600 x 600 mm. To easily reach both stations, the cobot moves along a linear axis between two positions. Meanwhile, while welding on one side, the operator can already clamp the next piece on the other side. The cobot program can be automatically transferred from one station to the other.
Customers can complete the delivery of the CE-compliant TruArc Weld 1000 themselves in just a few hours using the dedicated video tutorials. From the welding wire to the welding parameters, the system comes with everything needed to start welding right away. The machine operators do not need any additional training. The video tutorials contain all the information needed to quickly learn how to operate and program the cobot.
