New 8.5-meter tube laser at 247TailorSteel Varsseveld

The latest acquisition in Varsseveld is the Adige LT7; a tube laser machine with a length of no less than 8.5 meters. The special feature of this machine is its ability to reconfigure. After each batch, all settings are reloaded. In addition, the LT7 applies nesting, which means that this machine thinks carefully about the order in which the parts should be cut from the tube. This reduces the cutting waste to a minimum and facilitates the unloading of the parts. A huge time saver!

The most innovative technologies

Not only does 247TailorSteel about the latest machinery, this metal company also moves with the times in terms of support for its employees. For example, it has 247TailorSteel Varsseveld in the 'Plate' department, the hall where the plate lasers are set up, has a lifting assistant that takes over the heavy lifting work from the employees. The LiftMaster, as this lifting arm is called, supports the production staff in loading and unloading heavy plates. In the 'Tube' department, where the tube laser machines are located, large batches of tubes are moved from A to B by means of a crane attached to the ceiling. 247TailorSteel is expanding rapidly; in Oyten they will expand this year and are also currently busy building a fourth branch in Langenau, southern Germany. With the arrival of new and larger branches, new machines are naturally being added at the assembly line. For example, a new press brake was recently installed at the Hilden site, and many more new machines are planned. The machinery fleet at 247TailorSteel have about 100 machines by the end of 2022.
