Paul Horn GmbH is now offering its users the proven holder system with plane clamping as a set. Horn is thus meeting customer demand for different heights of the Supermini tool system. The new Supermini set will be presented for the first time at AMB 2022 Stuttgart in Hall 1, Booth 1J10. During this holding variant, clamping does not take place via the lateral surface of the cutting plate, but via a clamping wedge on the front. This results in a greater holding force of the insert and thus high rigidity of the entire system. In addition, the clamping increases repeat accuracy when changing the insert and better utilization of available installation space due to face-side operation. This proves to be a great advantage when used on a long-turning machine, as the user can change the chisel without removing the toolholder.
The holder set consists of a round tool holder and three different clamping elements. The clamping elements are suitable for the three different insertion heights of the Supermini system, 03, 04 and 05. The customer can select the desired diameter of the round toolholder when ordering. Horn offers these in diameters 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm, 25 mm and 28 mm. Inch sizes are available in 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″ and 1″ diameters. All sets are available from stock.
