New naright machine on the way

Narrowing has been part of our range of services for many years. So you can give old steel plates with tension a second life again. Due to the increasing demand for higher tensile steel, we invested in a new straightening machine.

Better performance

The Peak Performer 100P.2500-RB-C offers many advantages over the current machine. Namely, the powerful newcomer can handle more. Especially when it comes to thinner sheets. The current machine achieves a yield strength of 430 N/mm2 for a sheet 3 mm thick. The Peak Performer can handle up to 1,000 N/mm2. A considerable progress. Depending on the yield strength of the material to be straightened, the new machine can process sheets from 2,000 mm wide up to 12 mm thick. 

Innovative bombage system

The width limit of the Peak Performer is 2500 mm. However, we expect that in practice the sheet width will be mainly 2100 mm. This is because of the maximum width of our decoiling lines. The over-width allows us to make the best possible use of the available bombage system. This system removes any edge waviness and center tension from the slabs.

Laura Staalcenter Maastricht's new straightening machine was supplied by the German company Kohler, represented in the Netherlands and Belgium by HEVAMI oppervlaktetechniek, which is now in full operation.
