With a few weeks to go before the doors of the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch (NL) open for Materials+Eurofinish+Surface 2021, organizers Mikrocentrum VOM and Vereniging ION confirm the participation of 100 companies.
At Materials+Eurofinish+Surface 2021, materials science and surface technology come together. This combination is indispensable for achieving a good and sustainable end product. At the expo, 100 companies show the latest innovations and solutions in the field of materials science, analysis techniques, joining techniques, product development and surface technology. However, the knowledge and networking event has much more to offer visitors. For example, there are various VIP areas, demo areas with the latest innovations, eye-catchers and side events. There will also be an extensive conference program. Moreover, Materials+Eurofinish+Surface offers plenty of networking opportunities such as during the international Meet & Match, organized in cooperation with the KVK, the Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland, the Enterprise Europe Network and Agentschap Innoveren & Ondernemen. Special detail: visitors and exhibitors can also have 1-on-1 conversations with exhibitors and visitors of the Plastics Fair during the Meet & Match.
Safety always comes first for the organization and everything has been done to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The expo floor and the Brabanthallen meet the measures as prescribed by the Dutch government. "Trade fairs are seen by the Dutch government as flow-through events and are therefore permitted. We are therefore confident that Materials+Eurofinish+Surface will go ahead this year. Together with the Brabanthallen, our cooperation partners and in consultation with the safety region, we are implementing measures to facilitate networking, knowledge sharing and discovering the latest innovations as safely as possible." Says Timo van Leent, Mikrocentrum. For more information on the measures, visit the Materials+Eurofinish+Surface website.
Two locations are provided at the expo where exhibitors, alone or together with other exhibitors, show demonstrations. Veerle Fincken: "In the live demos, different areas of expertise and various techniques are offered around the theme "Measuring is knowing." This way, visitors will get answers to their questions." An overview of the confirmed innovations to be found at the expo:
The conference program during Materials+Eurofinish+Surface highlights not only the latest insights in the technical field but also in the regulatory and policy areas. In three halls, divided into 15 time blocks, 44 presentations, lectures, workshops, master classes and document introductions will be held. An overview:
The conference program will focus on special and issue coatings, materials, high-tech, corrosion mechanisms, adhesives, pretreatment, inspections and testing, production/process automation, powder and wet coating on galvanized substrates, 3D printing, waste and recycling, corrosion, safety, color, and laws and regulations.
Immediately following the opening of Materials+Eurofinish+Surface on Sept. 15, the ION Borghardt Award will be presented at 9:30 a.m. in Hall 2. This award honors innovations in surface treatment. This year the focus is on the following themes: sustainability (circular economy), craftsmanship, cooperation (chain optimization) and innovation in market introduction. "There is a lot of knowledge and innovative ideas to show at Materials+Eurofinish+Surface 2021." Says Egbert Stremmelaar, Association ION. The 6 nominees were announced on May 27 by jury chairman Prof. Dr. Ir. Arjan Mol of TU Delft during MES Online:
Materials+Eurofinish+Surface is organized simultaneously and under one roof with the Plastics Fair of Mikrocentrum and the Dutch Metal Days of United Industrial Fairs BV. The Plastics Fair is the trade fair and meeting place for the entire plastics and rubber chain in the BeNeLux. The Nederlandse Metaal Dagen is an event for the metal industry professional. Visitors have the opportunity to walk over between the different events.
