Most user-friendly control now also for larger series work

Three-quarters of the total price of a work piece is in labor time. The faster a piece can be made, the more profit you will count out. However, small series and prototypes are not always served by sophisticated CNC control. But working completely manually does not pay off either. The XZY machines with ProtoTRAK control are the ideal solution. It is the most user-friendly control on the market, offering the best of both worlds. And with the XYZ machining centers introduced this year at Crispyn, you can easily continue this success and quickly deliver larger series.

For the XYZ machines, the credo "seeing is believing" often applies. You can really manufacture very nice pieces with them in no time.

In recent years, XYZ's machining machines with ProtoTRAK control have steadily gained a foothold in the Belgian metal industry. Managing director Jan Crispyn: "Almost every metal processing company today has problems finding technically skilled personnel. XYZ's machines are designed so that the operator at the machine can perform his tasks as efficiently as possible. The fact that 2,500 machines a year cross the counter worldwide proves that they have done their homework in this regard." The strength lies in the intuitive, simple controls that allow anyone to produce single pieces or small series in no time. Whether simple or complex workpieces, operators with or without CNC experience, the ProtoTRAK control will be able to make your workpieces four to 10 times faster.

Quickly create added value with simple CNC control
One day of training is actually enough, the simplicity of dialogue control does the rest of the work of milling circles, drilling hole patterns, turning profiles or cutting tapered threads. There is no need for calculation. Crispyn: "Those who work purely conventionally will find it particularly difficult in the coming years due to the scarcity of personnel. Especially given the increasing complexity of pieces. Execution will absorb too much time. With the XYZ machines and the ProtoTRAK control, you can take the first step towards CNC, and create added value. The controller asks the questions, you just have to enter the data. The result can then even be simulated on the screen. At the end, your piece will be made four to ten times faster. Do the math yourself to see what that can mean for your bottom line.

The new XYZ machining centers are specifically designed to also support customers with larger series with the same benefits.

Next step: machining centers
This year, Crispyn also launched the new machining centers in two versions. "These machines are specifically designed to also support customers who need to process larger series with the same benefits. The HD series is an extra-heavy machine that features rock-solid block guides, a real chip maker. The LR series, on the other hand, makes do with linear guides and is a lot more affordable. The choice depends in part on what the customer prefers, because both can achieve the same accuracies. The HD series does have higher spindle power and more tools. Extensive testing in England, the home of XYZ, has shown that they more than hold their own in flexibility, speed and precision. The LR and HD series machining centers have standard Siemens controls.

Right machine for application
It is particularly important to Crispyn that metalworkers do not just buy a new machine purchase. After all, yet to often companies end up with the wrong machine for the application. "If you're not going to use all the bells and whistles on it, why make a heavy investment?" asks Crispyn. "That's why we always start from three questions: what do you want to do, what do you need and what workpieces do you want to make? We make a commitment to always be able to find the right solution for the customer. By investing a lot in our showroom, they can also see the machines live at work. Because in the case of the ProtoTRAK controls, the credo 'seeing is believing' often applies. You can really produce very beautiful pieces with it in no time," Crispyn concludes.
