French software specialist starts branch in Belgium

Those wishing to strengthen their position can invest in the development of a network of distributors or opt for direct contact by establishing their own branches. TOPSOLID, one of the world's leading developers of integrated CAD/CAM systems, recently took a stake in 4D Services, turning this long-standing loyal distributor into a fully-fledged subsidiary for the Belgian market: TOPSOLID Belgium. The operation remains unchanged, but the Belgian team can now more easily call on the support of international experts, which can only benefit the customer.

Thanks to TopSolid products, productivity and efficiency on the shop floor are significantly increased.

TOPSOLID, formerly known as Missler Software, is one of the world's leading developers of integrated CAD/CAM/ERP systems, used in the mechanical engineering, metalworking and wood industries, among others: TopSolid'Design, 'CAM, 'Wood, 'Sheetmetal and 'Mold. More than 500 people are dedicated every day to the development, support and sales of the TopSolid product range.

From 4D Services to TOPSOLID Belgium

As Belgium is a strong and dynamic market in both metal and wood, TOPSOLID's management decided to open its own Belgian subsidiary. They chose to take a stake in their distributor 4D Services and thus upgrade that long-standing partner into a fully-fledged subsidiary under the name TOPSOLID Belgium. "Since the start of the cooperation, we have always proven ourselves as a reliable partner with a team of promising and capable employees. We have an extensive customer database and there is still a lot of growth potential," the account manager continued. "With this new step, we have shorter ties with the developers of the parent company and our technical team can now fall back on the support of international experts even more easily. Finally, as a subsidiary of a large group, we can guarantee our customers even greater security and continuity. Our operation does not change, as our full team remains in post and will be further expanded."

TOPSOLID Belgium's team is not only responsible for selling the CAD/CAM systems, but also for providing technical support and training to customers.

Focus on the metalworking sector

4D Services has been focusing on the metal fabrication industry since its early years and now wants to put its efforts firmly back into this sector. After all, experience shows that working in a 3D CAD/CAM system, such as TopSolid'Sheetmetal, increases productivity and efficiency on the shop floor and significantly reduces the burden of errors. "Actually, it already starts in the sales phase, because you can immediately give the customer a clear picture of the end result in 3D. During the design process, you can see where there might be problems and make adjustments very quickly. These changes are immediately implemented in the production plans, bills of materials, etc. An additional advantage is that the CNC machines are controlled from the 3D-CAD/CAM package, so the operator does not need to have extensive knowledge of CNC control to operate the machine," De Doncker concludes. "We are responsible for the sale of the software, but also continue to support our customers afterwards with expert technical advice. Our customers' employees can visit our training center for practical training and further education. We want to further optimize and expand this service as a subsidiary of TOPSOLID."
