Bystronic Benelux BV has taken over long-time service partner Weber Laserservice BV as of May 1, 2020 in order, on the one hand, to serve its customers even more efficiently and, on the other, to improve its market position and promote the market for Bystronic second-hand machines.
Gathering knowledge, joining forces and focusing even more strongly on customer needs: Bystronic Benelux BV, headquartered in Meerkerk, the Netherlands, has taken over Weber Laserservice BV of Heteren for 100%, effective May 1, 2020.
Marco de Jong, managing director of Bystronic Benelux, explains the purchase: "With the acquisition of Weber Laserservice, active for 15 years in the Benelux, Germany and beyond and specialized in Bystronic machines, we achieve several goals at once. At a stroke, we thus become the largest and strongest service and support organization in an increasingly dynamic market, both on site at the customer and in back office. A highly experienced and highly trained team of technicians can now support any customer of any size and with any generation of Bystronic machines even better and faster."
Patrick van den Berg and Martin van de Weg, former owners of Weber Laserservice BV, added: "We are elated to be under the roof of our preferred partner Bystronic in the future. The joining of forces between our two companies will lead to further significant synergies that will clearly benefit the customer."
Weber Laserservice BV has specialized in the maintenance, training, installation and trade of Bystronic laser cutting machines. Today, the company also plays an important role in the market for used laser cutting machines. It has been a certified partner of Bystronic for many years and has in the past been named the best service partner of Bystronic Benelux.
In addition to service and support for flatbed lasers, press brakes, automation and software, these services are now also offered in the tube processing sector. Thus, the Bystronic customer receives expert support from a single partner.
