Thursday, January 16, saw the kick-off of a new knowledge and networking event. The first edition of Materials+Eurofinish+Surface, an organization of Mikrocentrum, VOM and Vereniging ION was proudly announced for June 3 and 4. The organizers presented to over seventy interested parties the plans for the upcoming edition and asked visitors to actively think along for the 2021 edition.
Boundless thinking, that was the overarching theme during the kick-off. Where in 2019 the start has been made by the cooperation between Mikrocentrum and VOM with Eurofinish+Materials, for the upcoming edition on June 3 and 4 now also Association ION joins in. That the first cooperation was seen as successful and trade fair Surface is now added, was seen as very positive by the audience present. Organizers Timo van Leent (Mikrocentrum), Veerle Fincken (VOM) and Egbert Stremmelaar (Vereniging ION) are therefore unanimous: "It is the combination and the strength of three networks that will lead to a successful and borderless knowledge and networking event."
Materials+Eurofinish+Surface will be much more than just an exhibition floor where companies can present themselves. It is the combination of exhibition floor, conference program, demo areas, innovation squares, an international Meet & Match and material and coating doctors that makes it a unique event concept. After explaining the concept for the upcoming edition, visitors were asked to actively contribute their thoughts on current topics surrounding the fair during a live survey. This gave the organization a good insight into the opportunities and needs for the future.

Due to its central location in Veldhoven, in the heart of the high-tech manufacturing industry, the event is also able to attract Dutch, Belgian, Luxembourg and German visitors as well as push boundaries. Among other things, this is achieved through intensive cooperation with partners and exhibitors. From these two groups, four organizations told why they chose to participate in Materials+Eurofinish+Surface. For example, René de Groot of KVK explained why they organize a Meet & Match and Mark Decker (Kanigen), Serviel Smolders (Smolders SSO) and Koen Babonnick (AD Chemicals) shared their experiences during the previous edition and expectations for the upcoming edition. The kick-off concluded with a lecture on getting more out of a trade show participation with online marketing by Susanne van Doornik (Mikrocentrum).
Materials+Eurofinish+Surface offers a complete overview of the latest developments within the entire chain; from raw material to realized product, on June 3 and 4, 2020 at the NH Koningshof in Veldhoven.
