Robotized bending cell with angle measurement system and programming wizard

Producing profitably today means producing right the first time, given ever-smaller runs. Dyna-Cell^®, LVD's bending cell is now available with LVD's adaptive angle measurement system Easy-Form^® Laser (EFL) that guarantees the desired angle from the first fold. Dyna-Cell also now has a revolutionary intelligent, automatic programming wizard for quick and easy programming. These new features allow the Dyna-Cell to fold small to medium-sized pieces even more efficiently at speeds of 25 mm per second.

The Dyna-Cell with Easy-Form Laser was first shown at Blechexpo. LVD's 10-10 rule delivers on the promise of a fast bending process from concept to piece - art to part - with 10 minutes for creation of the CAM bending and robot program and 10 minutes for setup and production of the first piece. Dyna-Cell has an intelligent programming wizard that is unique because the entire programming is done offline and the teaching of the robot to the machine is completely eliminated. This makes setup and also small batch production fast. After importing the 3D drawing, the software automatically generates the bending program and the robot's movements from one bending to the next and for unloading or stacking the piece. The software provides easy programming of families of pieces such as brackets, trays and profiles, calculates a collision-free path including all gripper positions and simulates the bending of the piece with the robot.

The right angle

LVD's exclusive adaptive angle measurement system Easy-Form^® Laser (EFL) provides even greater accuracy. EFL is an option on the electric-powered Dyna-Press Pro bending bench - with 40 tons of bending force - which is the core of Dyna-Cell. EFL ensures that the first angle is correct immediately. The system sends digital information in real time to the CNC control, which processes the information and immediately adjusts the position of the punch to obtain the correct angle. The bending process is not interrupted and no production time is lost. Thanks to EFL, the machine automatically compensates for variations in materials such as sheet thickness, cold reinforcement and rolling direction.

Versatile cell

Dyna-Cell can be either automated bending or used as a stand-alone bending bench when the application is not suitable for automation. This makes Dyna-Cell a versatile and economical machine for a wide range of bending applications. The unique patent pending gripper was developed by LVD specifically for Dyna-Cell and is suitable for workpieces from 35 x 100 mm to 350 x 500 mm and weighing up to 3 kg. The cell offers maximum productivity in a small area of 5 m x 5 m.
