Total steel supplier continues growth

For over a quarter of a century, NovioStaal of Wijchen has been the name to call when it comes to supplying a wide range of steel grades in both sheet and strip steel. Whether it's Corten steel, wear-resistant steel, high strength steel, or sheet steel for boiler construction and pressure vessels, the Gelderland-based company is the address of choice. "And because we are constantly expanding our stock range, we can serve our customers even better," say the three young owners Marc Coenen, Niek Janssen and Sven Kamps.

Since its establishment in 1997 by Lex Coenen - the father of current co-owner Marc Coenen - NovioStaal has become a specialist in the field of strip and sheet steel, quarto plates and coils. The warehouses in Wijchen house an impressive assortment of high quality steel grades that can be delivered quickly, ranging from 16Mo3, S355J2(+N), HB450-500, S500MC, S700MC, Borium, Corten steel in both tear plate, round and flat bar, tubes and coils. 

Many of these steel products are available directly from stock in standard dimensions in both small and large volumes. In addition, the company offers the ability to unwind sheets to desired lengths up to thicknesses of 25 mm and variable widths up to 2130 mm. Strip is available in thicknesses from 0.1 to a maximum of 15 mm and available in various qualities. "One of the strengths of our company is that we constantly focus on high-quality steel grades. This specialization allows us to serve our customers even better," the owners emphasize. NovioStaal has the most extensive stock of steel products in weather-resistant / Corten steel in the Benelux that can be delivered quickly. This varied assortment makes it easy for customers to realize projects quickly.

Over the years, NovioStaal has developed into a renowned steel trader with worldwide customers. The extensive customer base includes companies from various sectors, ranging from automotive, truck, trailer and crane building, construction, container building, agro, furniture and packaging industries. Personal contact and long-term relationships - both with customers and suppliers - are paramount. Thinking along with the customer is also a high priority. For example, through the StaalJournaal - a monthly free newsletter with thousands of subscribers - customers are kept informed of all current developments within the steel industry. "Take, for example, the import duties recently introduced by President Trump. What possible impact will that have on global steel prices and specifically on Europe?" the NovioStaal gentlemen clarify. "Also, the Steel Journal is an important source of information for some customers to determine their purchasing strategy."

As an internationally operating steel supplier of high-quality steel grades, NovioStaal has held ISO 9001 certification for many years. NovioStaal's versatile capabilities are also well reflected in its new corporate video, which can be viewed on YouTube, among other places. It shows once again how NovioStaal - thanks in part to its extensive network of partners in the steel world - can meet virtually any steel requirement a customer may have. A big plus here is also the possibility the company offers for call-off contracts. This means that a customer does not have to take a large order all at once, but it can be delivered in several smaller quantities. As a result, for such a large order, the customer does not have to reserve additional inventory space and financial resources himself. 

Taking worries out of your hands

Finally, what also sets NovioStaal apart are its short lines of communication and its own transport with fast delivery times. "If a customer has a problem and needs material at very short notice, for example, we often solve it the same day," say the owners. "When you can take worries out of a customer's hands in such a way, it is incredibly satisfying. Not for nothing is our slogan: Fascinated by steel!"
