Rittal shelter solutions conquer the market

Rittal Belgium has reason to celebrate: recently, the 500th AAC shelter could be delivered to yet another satisfied customer. The shelters, which serve to protect equipment and installations from all kinds of external factors, offer many advantages.

What are shelters?

Shelters protect plant or equipment from climatic changes (sun, heat, rain, cold ...), dust, theft and vandalism. They are necessary in many cases to ensure the proper operation of the plant or equipment. In principle, a shelter can be installed anywhere. If required, it can be adapted by Rittal to the climatic conditions using ventilation systems, heat exchangers, cooling units, humidity control, etc.

The advantage of a shelter is that it can be fully assembled and tested in the workshop, and then brought to site. One then only needs to connect it.

AAC Shelters

Rittal's AAC shelters consist of two compartments: an A compartment for low voltage and controls such as the automatic braking system, axle counters and signaling, for example, and a C compartment for the power supply section. They offer numerous advantages:

Ultralight

AAC shelters are very light, which means they are easy to transport and assemble. Indeed, with the TB LightSite concept, Rittal offers a range of shelter solutions that are significantly lighter than classic "steel frame" solutions, without compromising strength, stability or functionality. The concept is based on sandwich panels consisting of the most suitable materials according to the application. The inside is made of an assembly-friendly finish, there is an insulating core material and the outside consists of a corrosion-resistant finish.
