With its ninth consecutive participation in Yamazaki Mazak's Open House in Haasrode, RoboJob can by now call itself a fixture among the many exhibitors. This year RoboJob is coming to Haasrode with the brand new Tower Advanced.
In mid-September, RoboJob was still presenting the Tower Advanced at the EMO fair in Hanover. During Mazak's Open House in Haasrode, this 'all-rounder' in CNC automation will be set up at a Mazak Integrex j-200. With the Tower Advanced not only workpieces can be loaded, but also pallets and fixtures. For example, in Haasrode a fixturing system from Hainbuch is used, where the robot not only loads and unloads the workpieces, but also the clamps of the Hainbuch system. To make this possible, the robot's grippers are also exchanged automatically.
Whereas for years several providers of CNC automation have been present at Mazak's Open House, this edition RoboJob appears to be the only provider in the 'high end' of the market. The Tower Advanced is therefore ideally suited for the automation of 'high mix, low volume' production in machining. It confirms the confidence Mazak has in RoboJob's Tower.
This is evidenced by the recent news that Mazak itself has purchased no fewer than 4 Towers: "We have installed these at Yamazaki Mazak's production site in Worcester," CEO Helmut De Roovere tells us. "There they are used in Mazak's own production, and in both cases this is a double setup with 2 Towers for one machine. One Tower houses all the raw parts, and the finished parts are placed in the second Tower. Moreover, the operator can load and unload the Tower without interrupting the robot's work. So there is full commitment to the autonomy of the machine."
It shows that the cooperation between Mazak and RoboJob is not only outwardly smooth, but that Mazak also has full confidence in using RoboJob's products in its own production.
So the Tower Advanced can soon also be put to work in Haasrode. Mazak will open the doors there from November 26 to 28, 2019, from 2 to 9 p.m. each time. You can register on the RoboJob website: www.robojob.eu
