The NL Pavilion: collective showcase of innovation

At Hannover Messe, the Netherlands, in cooperation with various partners, is presenting the NL Pavilion under the theme "Together for a Smart and Sustainable Future. In hall 8, booth D34, thirty startups, scale-ups and established SMEs are joining forces to showcase the latest Dutch innovations. The Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO) and psps business abroad are organizing the NL Pavilion on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Partners are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the postal network in Germany, and the top sectors High Tech Systems & Materials, ICT, Chemistry, and Energy.

psps business abroad helps companies do business across the border and organizes collective trade fair participations worldwide - including at Hannover Messe. "With the NL Pavilion, we demonstrate the strength of the Netherlands as an innovative and sustainable industry partner," said Monika Sanders, managing partner at psps business abroad. "We bring companies, knowledge institutions and governments together to promote international cooperation. On 290 square meters, Dutch innovators will show how advanced AI, integrated photonics, next-gen battery technology, smart manufacturing digitization and energy solutions are transforming the industry. Pioneering technologies that increase efficiency, accelerate sustainability and shape the future of manufacturing and energy."

Startup expert Willem Drost guides the participating startups as they participate in the NL Pavilion during the upcoming exhibition edition. "Dutch startups stand out internationally for their flexibility and creativity in developing customer-oriented solutions for digitalization and sustainability," he says. "Especially in technology areas such as Semiconductors, Precision Manufacturing, Energy Transition and AI, our participants bring high-quality knowledge and products to Hanover. They are already working on collaborations before the fair, capitalizing on the huge EU and German investments in innovation and defense - which offers great opportunities for the Dutch ICT sector as a partner, thanks to those unique complementary skills in applying enabling & emerging technologies. We are also making connections with the large delegation from Canada (the partner country of Hannover Messe in 2025), which sees the Netherlands as a springboard for European partnerships - a development that offers great opportunities given the geopolitical situation."

Peter Stolk, chairman Holland High Tech: "The Netherlands is a good example of an innovation ecosystem where the lines are short and everyone works together: startups, scaleups, SMEs, large companies, knowledge institutions and government. With four top sectors - High Tech Systems & Materials, ICT, Chemistry and Energy - we showcase the innovations and (key) technologies that industry and society depend on during Hannover Messe. Whether it is AI, integrated chips and the machines that produce them, electrolysers that enable hydrogen production for industry, sustainable mobility, digital systems on which all this technology runs or quantum technology that is going to keep us safe: we offer solutions. We are presenting this innovation ecosystem at Hannover Messe."
