Optimizing production processes is nothing new in the manufacturing industry. But the way to get there is, with the ultimate goal of saving time and costs while maintaining consistent quality. There is good news for the finishing market, thanks to Q-Fin's handling solutions. These have already proven their effectiveness and yet they are constantly being further developed based on technical data. Q-Fin builds and supplies solutions for deburring, rounding and finishing metal sheet parts. All machines are developed in-house and go to the customer as a completely finished installation. Efficient handling, insight into performance and high reliability are the common denominators.
All for maximum output and tailored to the customer's specific production needs. This would not be possible without quite a bit of innovation power. You can already feel that when you are welcomed in the modern production facilities of Q-Fin, with an experience room where you can see and test the technologies and products. Patrick van Scherpenseel, Sales Manager Benelux: "Q-Fin was once founded on the belief that the ideal finishing machine did not yet exist, from there we continued to innovate. We like to do things differently, because we believe it can be done better. Automation with robotics is the way to go. Our handling solutions department is there to improve the performance of finishing machines. This is necessary because we saw that production departments often suffer from staff shortages and that manual operation costs handsomely." The range of handling solutions includes (return) conveyors for seamless material flow, robots for fully automated precision handling and a versatile reversing unit to optimize workflow. Designed to streamline the deburring process, optimize efficiency and reduce labor costs. Ergonomics and looks have also been considered. In short, it's nice working with a Q-Fin machine.
Some highlights:
A full handling solution line with the Robot Cell that loads automatically and a reversing lane are the ultimate in automation, but you don't have to go for that right away. Customized handling is the answer here, and that might as well be a compact setup with growth potential for double-sided machining. Thanks to self-calibrating machines that can be easily linked to ERP systems, the customer gets security and speed. Post-calculation? Easy peasy. Maaike Martens, content marketer at Q-Fin: "The technology in the robotic camera is called EyeQ. That is the eye of Q-Fin when it comes to automation and therefore also the eye for your finishing process. We also evolved the robot because we noticed that the Robot Cell was taking up quite a bit of space. That's why we came up with a robot that works from above. In the end, your production has to go on and a finishing machine is a link in your entire process. What would you think if soon a Q-Fin machine could also automatically order new sanding brushes? Nothing is too crazy, it doesn't stop here." Indeed: technically ingenious they are, these handling solutions.
