Vanas Engineering and TouchPoint Inc have acquired Pacoma Systems, a Dutch integrator of internal transport systems. Brain McNeill, president and CEO of TouchPoint Inc, acquired Vanas Engineering in 2017 to expand their operations in the Benelux region. The acquisition of Pacoma Systems will allow Vanas to expand its logistics solutions offering and further develop Vanas' business units to provide a more complete solution.
Pacoma Systems specializes in the design and integration of material handling systems such as sorting units, automated storage systems and motorized roller conveyors for boxes, crates and pallets. Pacoma Systems' qualified engineers and technicians continue to offer this service through Vanas. With more than 25 years of experience, they have built strong relationships with their customers from various industries and with their suppliers. Vanas will continue this.
The acquisition brings an additional logistics solution to the Belgian market and provides the opportunity to introduce Vanas' four existing business units - automatic warehouse equipment, classic storage systems, industrial vending and WMS software - to the Dutch market. The new business unit with roller conveyors strengthens the range and fits perfectly with the eight benefits Vanas stands for. Roller conveyors, for example, can help achieve higher productivity and better ergonomics. Customers can now benefit from more complete solutions from Vanas, which acts as an integrator for logistics solutions in the Benelux.
For each business unit, a team specializing in its domain works with its own engineers and operations managers. The logistics engineers have an overall overview and bring the best-fit solution to the end customer.
The relationship between Vanas and Pacoma Systems is not new. They previously worked together on projects at, among others Sunny and Lasaulec. Here they proved that full integration of Modula elevators, WMS software and roller conveyors can improve performance. For example, up to 300 order lines can be processed per warehouse employee per hour. Pacoma Systems and Vanas embrace this acquisition and look forward to growing in both countries. To celebrate, Vanas is launching a new logo.
Andy van Mieghem, Managing Director: "The acquisition of Pacoma Systems was a logical step to realize our product growth. To become a complete system integrator for logistics solutions, the expansion with roller conveyors and our own engineering department was necessary. By combining this with our own WMS software and various storage systems, we can offer solutions to our customers that directly match our 8 advantages such as higher productivity, huge space savings and better ergonomics, among others. We have already seen positive reactions from the market with customers embracing a responsible integrator of internal transport systems, WMS software and storage systems. In addition, our customers have the option of choosing a complete solution or working with each business unit separately."
