From a shared ambition to remain the best and push the limits, two-time Olympic champion Harrie Lavreysen and finishing machines specialist Q-Fin have entered into a 2-year partnership. Main goal is of course to defend his title during the Olympics and the World Championships.
With roots in the same Brabant municipality, Bergeijk, and a shared drive to get everything out of it, the connection between Harrie and Q-Fin was quickly made. Within the world of finishing machines Q-Fin strives every day to make its machines better and faster. This fits perfectly with Harrie's drive to push the boundaries and always look for ways to do things even faster and better.
Anton Bax, CEO of Q-Fin: "It is a very nice opportunity to join hands with Harrie. The most important core value of Q-Fin is that we want to get the very best out of our people and machines, 'Pushing the Edge' we always say. If anyone has the same ambition to push boundaries, it is Harrie. The speed at which our machines can produce is perhaps one of the most important advantages for our customers. Because through speed you create new opportunities."
In addition to his international stature as a two-time Olympic Champion and eleven-time World Champion, Harrie is also a local hero in Bergeijk, the community he grew up in. It is important for Q-Fin to support the local community and the region's athletes. After all, Q-Fin employees usually come from the region, are often in a local association and have social contacts in the neighborhood. Supporting the region is done by sponsoring local sports clubs and local events such as the Wielerronde van Luyksgestel, among others.
"I am happy that Q-Fin wants to support me over the next two years towards the Olympics and World Championships. Q-Fin is an organization that is a good fit for me. They want to get the very best out of people and machines internationally. That is something I also work on every day in detail and what can make the difference between winning or losing," says two-time Olympic Champion, Harrie Lavreysen.
