Investing in machinery is important for any company to remain competitive and flexible to customer needs. In many cases, a high-tech machine is not necessary or is beyond the budget. Deratech offers quality machines at an acceptable price exactly for such applications. The specialist in sheet metal working machines plans to move to the new building on Industriepark E17/4 in Lokeren this year. In a 1000 m² experience center, in addition to all other systems, there will also be room for the fiber laser cutting machines Entra, Supera and Futura.
Over the years, Deratech has built a strong reputation for the design, development, manufacture, supply and service of quality CNC-controlled sheet metal shears (Practica, Varia), bending machines (Minibend, Ultima, Technica and Hybdrid), punch nibblers (Dinamica) and fiber laser cutting machines (Entra, Supera and Futura), automation solutions and CAD/CAM software at an acceptable price.
Wanting to grow further, the company decided to invest in a new building along the E17 freeway in Lokeren.
"To further improve our services, this investment was more than necessary," says managing director Nico De Vooght. "Our new home base with an area of 2,500 m² will include offices, a workshop, warehouse space and an experience center. In that 1000 m² showroom, customers will be able to discover the sheet metal working machines in various versions down to the smallest details. Moreover, it will be possible to demonstrate the operation of the machines, also with workpieces brought by the customer. Furthermore, we also want to create a one-stop shop for spare parts at that new location."
"The work is progressing well. The floor insulation and heating in studio and showroom have been installed and soon the windows will be installed. Then the structural work will be completely finished and the finishing touches can start. We want to move in this year. At the same time, we are looking for new employees to join our team."
The location changes, the vision remains. The quality of parts and components is never compromised. Meanwhile, Deratech continuously invests in the optimization of its product range.
"For many companies, the cutting quality of plasma cutting technology is not satisfactory, but do not take the step to fiber laser cutting because such an investment weighs heavily on the budget and the system can never be profitable," says De Vooght. "In certain cases, the customer still wants to keep the flexibility and production in-house. However, they do not need an extremely high-performance system with sources of 15, 20 or 30 kW for that. That's why we offer our fiber laser cutting machines, including the Supera. That all-round system is available in sizes 1,500×1,500 to 2,500×10,000 mm, and with cutting power between 1 and 15 kW. The Precitec cutting head ensures stable, optimum cutting quality in a wide variety of material types and sheet thicknesses. The IPG fiber laser cutting source is virtually maintenance-free and guarantees constant cutting power for thousands of hours. These machines are not the fastest on the market, but that does not worry this target group; as long as they get a reliable and affordable machine that guarantees a high degree of finish."
